"Either my name is NayNay or that means...

Wow, I have a blog. There I said it...a blog! A year ago, I didn't know what a blog was. And now suddenly I am a blogaholic. I went to my niece's blog, got on her friend's blog, which led me to her friend's blog and before I knew it, it was 2:00 a.m. and I needed to get at least some sleep. I enjoy writing & even recently enrolled in a creative writing class. However, they were way ahead of me and I found it very hard to write about something that someone else was telling me to write about. In other words, I could not get inspired. The one thing that never ceases to inspire me, that I can always count on for inspiration is....you guessed it, my grandchildren. You've just got to love the beauty of their innocence, their undying love for me (and my dogs), as well as their excitement over all the little things that I lost excitement over somewhere along the way. I have sooo much catching up to do since I began my journey as a grandmother 5 years ago. That I can not believe. That it has been - five years, four grandbabies, 3 houses, a lost job & new job (for Steve) and a God given ministry (for me) - ago. Five years since Reed came along and gave me a new name, NayNay. I love it. It has a nice ring, NayNay. And the best part is, he came up with it all by himself. It was wet & rainy outside and he was pulling on the doorknob and mad (really mad) that he couldn't get out. He was really little too, but he looked at me and screamed NayNay. Right then I knew that either my name was NayNay or that meant open the "@#@##" door. It's been NayNay ever since and Reed continues to be my biggest fan.
